Sons: Walter (Louise) Edington and Michael Edington Kay was preceded in death by her parents Herbert Hoes, Laura and Fred Marenger, brother Wesley Hoes Kay loved to play bingo, drive her friends to the casino and was family famous for knitting her one of a kind baby sweaters. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Flat Rock as well as a member of the Flat Rock Senior Citizens group. Kay eventually returned to Flat Rock where she made her home, raised her family and has since resided before moving to Pinecrest in recent years. She went on to receive her certificate of business from Ferris State University and spent several years residing in Grand Rapids. Kay was a member of Holy Name High School’s first graduating class of 1957. Due to her father’s untimely death, Kay’s mother remarried Fred Marenger and together the couple raised Kay and her siblings in Flat Rock. Kay was born in Perronville to Herbert Nick and Laura Helen (Foster) Hoes. Kay Marie Edington, age 80, of Flat Rock, passed away Saturday evening, November 3, 2018, at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.
